Four bus lines in Queens have been diverted due to storm fallout and two Long Island Rail Road lines are partially suspended.
Coastal areas in New Jersey and Long Island are already flooding due to this morning’s high tide — which could be made more severe by tonight’s full moon.
Areas across the tristate are still under state of emergency declarations with people being advised to stay at home.
The powerful nor’easter pounding the Atlantic coast has knocked out the power to 70,000 residents in the Northeast.
New Jersey, which is already experiencing flooding in coastal areas, has 26,857 residents without power, according to Poweroutage.us.

New York has 20,407 residents in the dark.
In the Nutmeg State, 6,045 Connecticuters are out of power.
Rhode Island has 13,987 and Pennsylvania 4,975 residences without power, according to the site.

The hardest hit area of New York thus far is Long Island where more than 15,000 are without power, according to News12.

PSEG Long Island confirmed that 16,769 of its customers had service affected by the nor’easter as of 9:30 a.m. this morning.
The utility company noted that it has already restored power to 23,000 customers who lost it since yesterday morning.

The two hardest-hit areas on Long Island so far have been Huntington and the south shore of western Suffolk County, the company reported.

Several MTA bus lines in Queens are being diverted due to flooding, downed power lines and fallen trees as fallout from the nor’easter begins to affect transit.
The Q11 bus is detoured in Howard/Hamilton Beach due to flooding, according to the MTA.
Q29 buses are detoured due to a downed wire on 78th Avenue between 80th and 81st streets.
QM2 service is detoured around a downed wire at 160th Street and 14th Avenue.
The Q8 is detoured due to a downed tree.
