Coast Guard Searches for Missing Air Ambulance With 6 on Board Near Nantucket

The U.S. Coast Guard is searching for an air ambulance with six people on board that went missing off the coast of Nantucket on Oct. 3.

The Gulfstream G100 was traveling from LF Wade International Airport in Bermuda to Boston Logan International Airport overnight when it lost contact with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

The FAA confirmed to The Epoch Times that it issued a Search and Rescue Alert Notice for the plane with tail number CGRJP around 1:20 a.m. ET on Saturday.

The plane was scheduled to arrive in Boston at 1:30 a.m. ET, according to the flight-tracking website FlightRadar.

The Rescue Coordination Center and the U.S. Coast Guard are working with the FAA to locate the aircraft.
